Under the authority of section 3 of the Sheriff’s Act, 1991, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Mr. Daniel F. Chafe as the High Sheriff of Newfoundland and Labrador, on an acting basis, effective immediately, with a 10% increase applied to his current salary, and with a position description to be forwarded by Mr. Chafe to the Human Resource Secretariat for classification within one year of his date of appointment, the outcome of which is to place him, retroactive to his appointment, at the salary step that is closest to, without being less than, the salary at which he has been appointed herein, with normal step progressions and general increases to apply.
