Financial Administration Act
Under the authority of subsection 26(4) of the Financial Administration Act, and the written recommendation of the Treasury Board, the Lieutenant Government in Council is pleased to authorize the following:
a) The Department of Child, Youth and Family Services to pre-commit funds in the amount of $108,900 in 2016/17; $118,800 in each of 2017/18 to 2020/21; and $9,900 in 2021/22, against its budgetary appropriations, to facilitate the award of a five-year lease, up to April 30, 2021, for 3,965 square feet of office space, located at 53 Majors Road, Roddickton-Bide Arm, to Goose Real Estate Ltd., at a lease rate of $118,752 per annum, plus HST;
b) The Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture to pre-commit funds in the amount of $33,000 in each of 2016/17 to 2019/20 and $30,300 in 2020/21, against its budgetary appropriations, to facilitate the award of a five-year lease, up to February 28, 2021, for 952 square feet of office space, located at 184 Road to the Isles, Summerford, to Farrahv Enterprises Ltd., at a lease rate of $33,000 per annum, plus HST;
c) The Department of Advanced Education and Skills to pre-commit funds in the amount of $91,500 in each of 2016/17 to 2018/19, and $53,400 in 2019/20, against its budgetary appropriations, to facilitate the renewal of a five-year lease, up to October 24, 2019, for 4,064 square feet of office space, located at 239 Grand Bay West Road, Port aux Basques, with RAS Holdings Ltd. at a lease rate of $91,440 per annum, plus HST;
d) The Department of Advanced Education and Skills to pre-commit funds in the amount of $124,100 in 2016/17, and $95,700 in 2017/18, against its budgetary appropriations, to facilitate the renewal of a lease for 2,234 square feet of office space, up to January 4, 2018, located at 9 Government Road, Hopedale, with DJ Properties Ltd., at a lease rate of $124,037 per annum, plus HST; and
e) The Department of Advanced Education and Skills to pre-commit funds in the amount of $83,500 in 2016/17, and $55,700 in 2017/18, against its budgetary appropriations, to facilitate the lease renewal of 6,416 square feet of office space up to November 30, 2017, located at Coughlan College, St. John’s, with Memorial University, at a rental rate of $83,408 per annum, plus HST.
