Under the authority of sections 38 and 43 of the Financial Administration Act and/or the Loan Act, 2016, the Lieutenant Governor is pleased to:
a) move that His Honour the Lieutenant-Governor in Council raise a loan upon the credit of the Province for those sums of money for the Consolidated Revenue Fund, not to exceed an aggregate amount of $1,600,000,000, as may be required from time to time by the Minister of Finance or Deputy Minister of Finance; and
b) appoint the Minister and Deputy Minister of Finance as the agent of the government for the purpose of negotiating borrowings, not to exceed an aggregate amount of $1,600,000,000 Canadian dollars, without further reference to Cabinet, on such terms and conditions as to form, rates of interest, and terms to maturity as the Minister of Finance or Deputy Minister of Finance may determine.
