Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to create the Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agrifoods, effective August 18, 2016, consisting of all those functions formerly within the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture and all of those functions formerly within the Forestry and Agrifoods Agency, with four branches as follows:
a) Fisheries;
b) Aquaculture;
c) Agrifoods Development; and
d) Forestry.
