Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to create the Department of Children, Seniors and Social Development, effective August 18, 2016, consisting of all those functions formerly within the Department of Child, Youth and Family Services and all of those functions formerly within the Department of Seniors, Wellness and Social Development, with four branches as follows:
a) Policy and Programs;
b) Service Delivery and Regional Operations;
c) Corporate Services; and
d) Health Promotion, Wellness and Sport.
