Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to restructure the Department of Justice and Public Safety, effective August 18, 2016, consisting of all of those functions formerly within the Department of Justice and Public Safety and consisting of all of those functions formerly within the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Office, of the Office of Public Engagement, with five branches as follows:
a) Office of the Legislative Counsel;
b) Public Prosecutions;
c) Courts and Legal Services;
d) Public Safety and Enforcement; and
e) Strategic and Corporate Affairs.
