Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to confirm the following departments, effective August 18, 2016:

a) Department of Service Newfoundland and Labrador, consisting of the following three branches: 
i) Consumer and Commercial Affairs;
ii) Government Services; and
iii) Occupational Health and Safety;

b) Department of Business, Tourism, Culture and Rural Development, consisting of the following five branches:
i) Regional and Business Development;
ii) Innovation and Strategic Industries;
iii) Trade and Investment;
iv) Tourism and Culture; and
v) Ocean Technology and Arctic Opportunities;

c) Department Education and Early Childhood Development, consisting of the following three branches:
i) Corporate Services;
ii) Kindergarten to Grade 12 Education and Early Childhood Development; and
iii) Infrastructure;

d) Department of Health and Community Services, consisting of the following six branches:
i) Corporate Services;
ii) Policy, Planning and Performance Monitoring;
iii) Population Health;
iv) Professional Services;
v) Regional Services; and
vi) Physician Services; and

e) Department of Transportation and Works, consisting of the following four branches:
i) Transportation;
ii) Works;
iii) Strategic and Corporate Services; and
iv) Marine Services.
