Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Mr. Marc Kielley as the Assistant Deputy Minister (Innovation and Strategic Industries), in the Department of Business, Tourism, Culture and Rural Development, on an acting basis, effective August 31, 2016, with salary at an appropriate step on the 1450 Point Scale of the Executive Compensation Plan Policies and Procedures, and with a position description to be forwarded to the Human Resource Secretariat for classification within one year of his date of appointment, the outcome of which is to place him, retroactive to August 31, 2016, at the salary step that is closest to, without being less than, the salary at which he has been appointed herein, and with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply.
