Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Mr. Sean Dutton as the Deputy Minister of the Department of Service Newfoundland and Labrador and the Deputy Minister of Procurement, effective August 18, 2016, at his current salary and Point Scale of the Executive Compensation Plan Policies and Procedures, and with a position description to be forwarded to the Human Resource Secretariat for classification within one year of his date of appointment, the outcome of which is to place him, retroactive to August 18, 2016, at the salary step that is closest to, without being less than, the salary at which he has been appointed herein, and with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply.  In addition to his duties as Deputy Minister of the Department of Service Newfoundland and Labrador, Mr. Dutton is to continue in the role of Deputy Minister for Intergovernmental Affairs until September 25, 2016.
