Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of section 17 of the Financial Administration Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Minister of Finance to settle and forgive the following debts owed to the Crown by A.L. Stuckless & Sons Limited, North Atlantic Lumber Inc. and L. Neil Woolfrey as part of the overall settlement of court action 2004 01T 3996 (HMQ v. A.L. Stuckless and Sons Limited, et al):
1) Three loan guarantees in the amount of $1,217,203.92 (plus $1,260,329.80 in interest);
2) Royalties in the amount of $127,402.33 (plus $1,619,884.24 in interest) pursuant to the Forestry Act and Timber Royalty Regulations;
3) Engineering Services for Pressure Vessel Inspection and Annual Fee in the amount of $1,306.20 owed by A.L. Stuckless & Sons Limited;
4) Engineering Services for Pressure Vessel Inspection and Annual Fee and NSF fees in the amount of $2,512.86 owed by North Atlantic Lumber Inc.;
5) Crown Lands fees – License to Occupy in the amount of $550.00 owed by L. Neil Woolfrey; and
6) Any subsequent interest amounts related to Items 1 – 5 above.
