Under the authority of section 19 of the Statutes and Subordinate Legislation Act, section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Ms. Kimberly Hawley George as Chief Legislative Counsel and Assistant Deputy Minister (Legal Services), in the Department of Justice and Public Safety, effective October 28, 2016, at her current salary and Point Scale of the Executive Compensation Plan Policies and Procedures, with benefits to include payment of annual practice fees in the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, and with general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply.
