Under the authority of section 26 of the Energy Corporation Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador to provide Nalcor Energy with a short-term loan in the amount of $225 million, for up to 91 days, on such terms and conditions as to form, rates of interest, and terms to maturity as the Minister of Finance, as the agent of Government, may determine, including an ability to extend the loan, as and if required, to March 31, 2017.
