Under the authority of sections 4(2) and 41 of the Memorial University Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize Memorial University to alter the Battery Hotel and 4.48 acres of land at 100 Signal Hill Road as required and to fund up to $16,200,000 of those alterations through a combination of its endowment fund and existing cash reserves.
