Under the authority of subsection 26(4) of the Financial Administration Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Department of Transportation and Works to pre-commit funding in the amount of $2,435,700 against its budgetary appropriations in fiscal 2017-18, to facilitate the award of a contract to Newdock St. John’s Dockyard Limited, for the rehabilitation of the MV Sound of Islay.
