Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of section 5 of the Rail Service Act, 2009, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize Tata Steel Minerals Canada Limited to construct and operate a railway within the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador near Timmins, Labrador, subject to:

 i)  compliance with conditions, if any, imposed by the Department of Natural Resources;

ii)  compliance with conditions, if any, imposed by the Department of Environment and Conservation; and

iii)  compliance with such other conditions as the Department of Transportation and Works deems necessary; and

2)  The Department of Transportation and Works is directed to finalize the communications plan in consultation with the Communications Branch.
