Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to confirm the appointment of Heather Jacobs, Q.C. as Deputy Minister of the Department of Justice and Public Safety and Deputy Attorney General, effective January 23rd, 2017, at her current salary and Point Scale, with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply, and with benefits to include payment of annual practice fees in the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
