Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Janice Barnes as Executive Director, Labrador West in the Labrador Affairs Office of the Executive Council, effective May 14, 2012, with salary at step 1 on the 1222 point scale of the Executive Compensation Plan approved by MC91-0016 upon appointment, with a position description to be forwarded to the Human Resource Secretariat for classification, the outcome of which will not negatively impact Ms. Barnes’ current salary, and with any salary increase on the basis of the classification process to be effective as of the date of appointment, where applicable.
