Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Walter Parsons as the Executive Director (Iron Ore Industry) of the Department of Natural Resources, effective July 9, 2012, with salary at step 23 on the 1222 point scale of the Executive Compensation Plan approved by MC91-0016 upon appointment, with normal step progression and general salary increases to apply, with a position description to be forwarded to the Human Resource Secretariat for classification, the outcome of which will not negatively impact Mr. Parson’s current salary, and with any salary increase on the basis of the classification process to be effective as of the date of appointment, where applicable.
