Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Julian McCarthy as Deputy Minister of the Department of Service Newfoundland and Labrador and Deputy Minister of Procurement, on an acting basis, effective February 7, 2017, in addition to his duties as Assistant Deputy Minister (Regulatory Affairs), with a 10% increase to be applied to his current salary, and with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply.
