Executive Council
Executive Council Act
Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to restructure the Executive Council, effective February 22, 2017, with nine offices as follows:
a) Cabinet Secretariat;
b) Communications and Public Engagement Branch;
c) Human Resource Secretariat, with two branches as follows:
i) Labour Relations; and
ii) Compensation and Staffing;
d) Intergovernmental and Indigenous Affairs Secretariat, to include policy advice and consultative services related to national and international trade formerly within the Department of Business, Tourism, Culture and Rural Development, and all those functions related to Aboriginal Affairs formerly within the Labrador and Aboriginal Affairs Office;
e) Office of Labrador Affairs;
f) Office of the Chief Information Officer, with three branches as follows:
i) Corporate Services and Projects;
ii) Application and Information Management Services; and
iii) Operations and Security;
g) Office of the Premier;
h) Women’s Policy Office; and
i) Office of Climate Change, to include all of those functions formerly within the Climate Change Branch in the Department of Environment and Climate Change.
