Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Ms. Tracy English as Associate Deputy Minister – Energy in the Department of Natural Resources, effective September 4, 2012, with salary set at $117,450 and with a salary differential to apply of 1% of the salary of Ms. English’s highest paid subordinate, until such time as through normal step progressions and general increases applicable to Executive, Ms. English’s salary is greater than the salary of the Assistant Deputy Minister, Energy Policy, and the Assistant Deputy Minister, Royalties and Benefits, and with a position description to be forwarded to the Human Resource Secretariat for classification, the outcome of which will not negatively impact Ms. English’s current salary, and with any salary increase on the basis of the classification process to be effective as of the date of appointment, where applicable.  Ms. English is to have Deputy Minister status for the purpose of the Executive Council Act, with reporting responsibility to the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, and with specific responsibility for Petroleum Resources, Energy Policy, Royalties and Benefits (with the exception of Mining issues), as well as other duties that may be assigned by the Deputy Minister.
