Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to create the Department of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation, effective February 27, 2017, consisting of the operation of the Provincial Park systems formerly within the Department of Environment and Climate Change; and all those functions formerly within the Department of Business, Tourism, Culture and Rural Development, with the exception of policy advice and consultative services related to national and international trade, with three branches as follows:
a) Business;
b) Regional Development and Diversification; and
c) Tourism and Culture.
