Under the authority of subsection 54(1) of the Lands Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Minister of Environment and Conservation to transfer the administration and control of an area of Crown land in Deer Lake, up to a maximum of 69 hectares, to the Minister of Transportation and Works for subsequent transfer to Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Limited in exchange for a similar sized parcel of land expropriated from the company for the site of the new Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
