Under the authority of section 37 of the Memorial University Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize Memorial University to purchase approximately 1.5 acres of land, including a house, located at 336 Mt. Scio Road, St. John’s (as described in the survey attached to the Minister’s Submission as Annex A) for its appraised value of $342,000 and to use internal funds for the purchase until public donations to the Botanical Garden cover the cost, with no additional funding to be provided by Government for this purpose.
