Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Ms. Janet Vivian-Walsh as Deputy Minister (Acting) of the Department of Education, effective  November 1, 2012, with a 10% increase applied to her current salary, and with a position description to be forwarded to the Human Resource Secretariat for classification within one year of her date of appointment, the outcome of which is to place her, retroactive to November 1, 2012, at the salary step that is closest to, without being less than, the salary at which she has been appointed herein, and with normal step progression and general increases to apply, and with Ms. Vivian-Walsh remaining on the payroll of the Eastern School District and with the District to be reimbursed on a regular basis for Ms. Vivian-Walsh’s salary.
