Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to confirm the appointment of Ted Lomond as the Deputy Minister of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation, effective February 27, 2017, at his current salary and Point Scale of the Executive Compensation Plan, with a salary differential to apply of 1% above the salary of Mr. Lomond’s highest paid subordinate until such time as, through normal step progressions, general salary increases, or otherwise, Mr. Lomond’s salary is greater than the salary of his highest paid subordinate, and with a position description to be forwarded to the Human Resource Secretariat for classification within one year of his date of appointment, the outcome of which is to place him, retroactive to February 22, 2017, at the salary step that is closest to, without being less than, the salary at which he has been appointed herein, and with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply.
