Under the authority of section 54 of the Legal Aid Act and section 7 of the Intergovernmental Affairs Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize the Minister of Justice and Attorney General and the Minister for Intergovernmental Affairs to enter into two Amending Agreements which extend the terms and conditions of the Agreement Respecting Legal Aid in Criminal Law, Youth Criminal Justice Act and Immigration and Refugee Matters for the provision of federal funding to the province for legal aid for the period of April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012.
