Under the authority of section 5 of the Provincial Court Act, 1991, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Lois J. Skanes, Q.C., as a Judge of the Provincial Court of Newfoundland and Labrador, effective February 15, 2010, to serve in the Judicial Centre of St. John’s.
