Under the authority of section 2 of the Marble Mountain Development Corporation By-laws and paragraph 9(2)(b) of the Independent Appointments Commission Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council hereby authorizes the Minister of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation to:

a) remove the Chairperson and Members of the Marble Mountain Development Corporation Board of Directors appointed pursuant to OC2011-106 and OC2012-320, effective immediately; and
b) appoint the following individuals to the Marble Mountain Development Corporation Board of Directors, until such time as the positions are permanently filled in accordance with the Independent Appointments Commission Act, effective immediately:

i) Tony Abbott, Chairperson;
ii) Carmela Murphy, Assistant Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation (Tourism and Culture);
iii) Ben Gardner, Assistant Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation (Business);
iv) Carol-Ann Gilliard, Director of Sector Diversification with the Department of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation;
v) Gillian Skinner, Director of Regional Economic Development, Department of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation;
vi) Jeff Mercer, Planning and Development Specialist, Department of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation;
vii) Stewart Read, Economic Development Officer (Western Regional Office), Department of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation;
viii) Craig Martin, Assistant Deputy Minister of Finance (Fiscal and Economic Policy); and
ix)  A representative of the City of Corner Brook.
