Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to create the Department of Advanced Education and Skills, effective October 28, 2011, consisting of some of those functions formerly within the Department of Human Resources, Labour and Employment and all of those functions formerly within the Advanced Studies Branch of the Department of Education, with 5 branches as follows:

                                      i)  Advanced Studies;

                                      ii)  Income, Employment and Youth Services;

                                      iii)  Corporate Services;

                                      iv)  Labour Market Development and Client Services; and

                                      v)  Immigration and Multiculturalism.
