Under the authority of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to restructure Executive Council effective October 28, 2011, to create the Intergovernmental and Aboriginal Affairs Secretariat, consisting of all of those functions formerly within the Intergovernmental Affairs Secretariat of the Executive Council and some of those functions formerly within the Department of Labrador and Aboriginal Affairs, with 2 branches as follows:

 i)  Intergovernmental Affairs; and

ii)  Aboriginal Affairs.
