Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of sections 5 and 17 of the Executive Council Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to create the Department of Innovation, Business and Rural Development, effective October 28, 2011, consisting of all of those functions formerly within the Department of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development and some of those functions formerly within the Department of Business, with 4 branches as follows:

i)  Strategic Industries and Business Development;

ii)  Trade and Export Development;

iii)  Innovation, Research and Advanced Technologies; and

iv)  Regional Development.
