Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Jennifer Mercer Q.C., as Director of Public Prosecutions, on an acting basis, effective July 4, 2017, with salary at Step 33 on the 1610 Point Scale, with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply, and with benefits to include payment of annual practice fees in the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
