 Under the authority of section 27 of the Hydro Corporation Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro to borrow an amount not to exceed $150 million Canadian from the capital markets through a long-term debenture issue to be completed on or before December 31, 2008, with such borrowing to be guaranteed by the Province.  Authority to approve the rate of interest and other terms and conditions for the issue of debentures is delegated to the Minister of Finance.
