Under the authority of section 42.1 of the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, following the unanimous approval of a Resolution of the House of Assembly, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Mr. Ed Ring as the Information and Privacy Commissioner, effective April 10, 2008, in accordance with a contract between Mr. Ring and the Speaker of the House of Assembly to be filed with the Clerk of the Executive Council.
