Orders in Council Database

Under the authority of the paragraph 3(1)(f) of the Medical Care Insurance Act, 1999 and paragraphs 39(1)(d) and (r) of the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to authorize disclosure of personal information held pursuant to the Medical Care Insurance Act, 1999, specifically name, address, telephone number and other demographic information for those individuals whose names appear in the ER/PR database held by the Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information and who have not been contacted or notified in response to issues concerning estrogen and progesterone hormone receptor tests performed between 1997 and 2005, to the Minister of Health and Community Services and individuals designated by the Minister.
