Under the authority of section 3 of the Sheriff’s Act, 1991, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Mr. John P. McDonald as High Sheriff of Newfoundland and Labrador, effective May 30, 2008, at his current salary, with benefits to include payment of annual practice fees in the Law Society of Newfoundland.
