Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Mr. Paul Noble as Acting Assistant Deputy Minister – Public Safety and Enforcement in the Department of Justice, effective May 28, 2008 until a permanent incumbent is appointed, with salary at the same step and point scale as approved by OC2008-123, subject to a 1% differential in salary to take into consideration the reporting relationship between the current sheriff and Mr. Noble for the duration of that reporting relationship.  Benefits are to include payment of practice fees in the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, effective May 6, 2008.
