Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Mr. Paul Noble as the Assistant Deputy Minister – Public Safety and Enforcement in the Department of Justice, effective immediately, at his current salary, subject to a 1% differential in salary to take into consideration the reporting relationship between the current sheriff and Mr. Noble for the duration of that reporting relationship.  Benefits are to include payment of practice fees in the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.  Mr. Noble is directed to forward a position description to the Public Service Secretariat for classification, the outcome of which will not negatively impact his current salary, and with any salary increase on the basis of the classification process to be effective as of the date of issuance of this Order in Council.
