Under the authority of section 21(2) of the Transparency and Accountability Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council is pleased to amend the performance contract guidelines, the details of which are on file with the Clerk of the Executive Council, to provide for the identification by Deputy Ministers of key departmental priorities and for the inclusion of eleven common priority areas which will be used to evaluate a Deputy Minister’s performance.  The performance contract guidelines shall further enable the Clerk of the Executive Council to vary the performance contract process where deputy ministers are engaged in short-term assignments, leave replacements, and special assignments.
