Under the authority of section 9 of the Executive Council Act and the Prerogative of the Crown, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to appoint Rolf Pritchard, Q.C. as the Assistant Deputy Minister (Legal Services), in the Department of Justice and Public Safety, on an acting basis, effective October 2, 2017, with salary at Step 33 on the 1610 Point Scale, with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply, with benefits to include payment of annual practice fees in the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, and with a position description to be forwarded to the Human Resource Secretariat for classification within one year of the date of his appointment, the outcome of which is to place him, retroactive to October 2, 2017, at the salary step that is closest to, without being less than, the salary to which he has been appointed herein.
