Under the authority of subsections 6(4) and 6(5) of the Public Utilities Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council is pleased to designate Darlene Whalen as Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of the Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities, effective March 14, 2018, and to set her salary at Step 22 on the 2328 Point Scale, with normal step progressions and general salary increases applicable to Executive to apply, and with a position description to be forwarded to the Human Resource Secretariat for classification within one year of the date of her designation as Chairperson, the outcome of which is to place her, retroactive to her date of designation, at the salary step that is closest to, without being less than, the salary at which she has been designated herein.
